Can I Drink Whiskey In The Summer?

Whether you're a Tennessee Whiskey fan or love Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey, there's no question that whiskey is a drink that can be enjoyed all year round. And in case you're wondering - Yes, you can drink whiskey in the summer. Here are some tips to make it even more enjoyable:

  • Choose a younger whiskey: Generally speaking, younger whiskeys are better suited for summer drinking. Not only will they tend to lack the harshness that older whiskies have, but they also boast tons of flavor.
  • Add Ice: This is a no-brainer, but adding ice to your whiskey will help it stay cool and refreshing on those hot summer days. Unlike other drinks that will taste really watered down, whiskey will taste refreshing with a few ice cubes.
  • Use mixers: If you're looking for a way to enjoy your whiskey without feeling the heat, try using some mixers. There are endless possibilities when it comes to cocktails that include whiskey - whether you want to pair it with a calm pear honey vanilla lime mixture or a subtle rosemary lemon-honey mixture.
  • Avoid Bitters: Bitters are a common ingredient in cocktails, but they can also be harsh and overpowering. If you're looking for a refreshing drink that doesn't have a bitter taste, avoid using them in your cocktails.
